I took this picture in October 2012, it shows a jetty at Aberystwyth, Wales. Such a simple photograph, good, bold lead-in lines provided by the edge of the jetty with the lines in the concrete echoing them, it all leads to the focal point, the green and white post at the far end. Nice straight horizon, nothing really to distract from the graphic simplicity of the overall image. Just add some good winter light and you’r all set. It pays sometimes to keep it really simple.
Technical information: Nikon D7000 in Aperture priority mode on Manfrotto tripod, 10/24mm Nikon zoon lens at 12mm. The shutter speed was 1/50th of a second with an aperture of f25. The ISO was 125.
